Ogilvie Fleet are delighted to announce the purchase of Birmingham based Ryland Unity Vehicle Solutions in a move that yet further demonstrates Ogilvie’s growth aspirations and will provide improvements in pricing and service to the growing Ryland Unity client base. The six figure deal adds more than 200 customers and over 1,000 vehicles to the Ogilvie books, pushing the combined fleet well over the 8,000 vehicle mark.

Gordon Stephen, Managing Director of Ogilvie Fleet said:

“I’m absolutely delighted that we have been able to conclude this deal with Ryland Unity. They’re a company we’ve admired for some time and they have a very similar ethos to Ogilvie in terms of strong customer service. I think the backing of a larger partner will enhance the offering to their clients and help continue their impressive growth. They had a variety of options but chose Ogilvie Fleet after lengthy negotiations and once they had established that Ogilvie were the most capable company to improve upon the high levels of service already being delivered to Ryland’s client base.”

“The Ryland Unity name will be maintained for the foreseeable future, as will the existing team of people based in Coleshill. However, we will look to integrate some of the back office functions which will allow Ryland to access to our enhanced buying terms, integrated maintenance support and marketing systems. This way we can be sure that we maintain the core values and service ethic of Ryland and at the same time help to deliver added benefits as soon as possible”.

Ryland Unity MD John Phenix further added:

“This purchase is excellent news for Ryland Unity and all of its clients and I am certain that they will all soon see much added value and benefit in Ryland Unity being an integral part of Ogilvie Fleet. We will be in contact with each and every client in the next few days to deliver the good news and confirm that Ogilvie is truly committed to developing long term relationships with each and every one of our valued customers.”

The move allows Ryland Unity’s parent company, Rybrook Holdings, to concentrate on the development of its successful specialist and luxury brand motor retailing business.

Ogilvie Fleet recently announced their expanded operation in Sheffield was fully operational as well as their 7th consecutive year of profits growth. Commenting further Gordon Stephen said:

“This is yet another positive step in the growth plans we have for the coming years and comes on the back of our recent announcement of record divisional profits. The future certainly looks very bright for all Ogilvie clients, new and old and I’m sure the industry will be seeing far more of the Ogilvie name in the coming months.”
