Managers can now see cost, environmental and safety trends on their fleet for up to the last three years online thanks to an enhanced version of GE Capital Solutions, Fleet Services’ award winning iManage fleet management tool.

The original version of iManage was the winner of the 2007 Digital Initiative of the Year award from Fleet News, and the new revision offers important new features that allow fleet managers to track performance from 1-36 months represented as a graph or in figures.

This enhancement means fleet managers can almost instantly access standard reports covering key areas of fleet performance including a new ClearSolutions portal showing environmental measures and a new Fleet Life Cycle portal which shows vehicle ordering and termination trends.

Also, much more specific information can be easily called up to meet each fleet manager’s needs - from fines affecting certain groups of drivers to the cost of maintenance on a particular type of vehicle to CO2 outputs defined by vehicle types or driver groups.

Rich Green, managing director at GE Fleet Services, said: “Cost, the environment and safety are the three key topics for fleet managers heading into 2008, and iManage allows them to track their performance in these areas easily and accurately.

“These latest enhancements provide the means to look at trends in general terms or by drilling down into exacting detail, all available in moments by a few clicks of the mouse. Essential information of this kind could take weeks to compile using any other method.

“iManage has been adopted by customers representing more than 50% of our UK fleet since its launch last year and the feedback we receive is overwhelmingly positive. It has become our most rapidly adopted technology tool and many fleet managers now tell us it is indispensible.”

iManage, which consolidates information from 11 different countries in eight languages, presents information in the form of a dashboard, allowing managers to quickly identify specific problems and take appropriate actions.

The dashboard can be set up to meet individual user needs, with upper and lower control limits covering key measures set to flag up exceptions, allowing the user to quickly see areas that require management attention.

Different access priorities can be defined within the application for different types of user, so fleet managers, HR managers, purchasing managers and financial managers can all see information that meets the needs of their particular department.

iManage requires no installation of software and can be accessed through any web browser with a simple user name and password security check. All data can also be exported into Microsoft Excel.

In addition to iManage, GE Fleet Services’ Online Key product range also features iQuote, an online quotation and ordering module for fleet managers and drivers, and iReport, online contract management query and reporting module.
