An exciting new addition to the range of Fleet Manager products has been launched by MiX Telematics (formerly OMNiBRIDGE) - the FM Protector.
The idea behind the FM Protector is to put owners of small fleets or private vehicles in control by tracking and protecting vehicles in real time. This allows vehicles to be monitored and managed through a website and any mobile phone can be used to question a vehicle’s exact whereabouts.
Each vehicle’s movements will be tracked in real-time and detailed on street level using Google Satellite maps. In addition, the website allows all historical trip information to be stored and keeps all data confidential as it is only accessible via a username and password.
It allows fleet managers to stay on top of proceedings with numerous interactive event notifications including alert button activation, over-speeding, tow away, low battery and theft, which can be sent directly to you via text message or email. Drivers will also be warned of speeding violations as they occur through interactive speakers, which gives them the opportunity to adjust their driving style before the event is reported back to the office.
