Vauxhall to wow show goers with Insignia
You’ll be doing a double take at one of the most important stands at the London Motor Show. The biggest fleet car of 2008 will be having a double premiere.
The maker has announced that it will showcase the four-door saloon and five-door hatchback versions of the new Insignia for the first time at the British International Motor Show (July 23–August 3).
The Griffin badged maker is unveiling both cars as it feels that the UK is a very important market for the car and 5-door cars traditionally enjoy a high market share of the mid-size class segment.
Five engines will be available for both Insignia hatch and saloon, all of which meet Euro 5 emissions standards and come coupled with six-speed transmissions. The three petrol engines range from a four-cylinder 140PS unit to a V6 with 260PS. Two new 2.0-litre direct-injection turbo-diesels exclusively developed for the Insignia have power outputs spanning from 130 to 160PS.
