Kia cee’d SW 1.6 CRDi LS SW road test

Kia cee'd SWThis 1.6-litre diesel engine is a marriage between economy and performance, although unlike most marriages these days this one actually works! After having previously driven the 2.0 CRDi offering from Kia we were under the impression that the 1.6 CRDi would offer a lot less in terms of pulling power and driver enjoyment… how wrong we were. The performance is spirited to say the least and you do feel the car wants to be pushed rather than being held back for reasons of economy.

Residual values have yet to settle themselves for the cee’d as it is still a relatively new model. are a bit of an unknown performer in this car sector but the seven-year warranty can only enhance their status. If you want an outstanding 2.0 litre diesel unit which rivals more expensive marques with it’s performance AND miles per gallon then you would struggle to find it elsewhere at the price of the Cee’d 1.6 LS SW.
