Auto Windscreens, the national automotive glazing services company, has appointed Tony Johnston as its sales and marketing director. Tony’s appointment now completes Auto Windscreens five-strong board of directors.
Johnston brings more than 15 years’ top-end sales and marketing experience in the automotive industry to his new role. Most recently Tony was the chief operating officer for Leasedrive VELO, one of the UK’s largest independent privately-owned vehicle management groups in the UK. Before that he was the chief executive of VELO prior to its merger with Leasedrive Group in 2007. Prior to joining the automotive industry, Tony held a number of key roles within the insurance and financial services sectors.
In his new role Johnston will be responsible for driving the company’s sales and marketing strategy. Abu Shafi, managing director, said: “He joins a team with world class knowledge and at an exciting stage of our development. Tony’s proven ability in the sales arena will be a huge asset to the company. As our business continues to grow he will play a significant role in securing the growth and success of Auto Windscreens.”
