New Secretary of State for Transport
The Rt. Hon. Geoff Hoon MP has been appointed as the new Secretary of State for Transport. MP for Ashfield since 1992, Hoon was previously Chief Whip and Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury. He has held a number of Cabinet positions, including Secretary of State for Defence and Leader of the House of Commons.
Under Hoon’s command Lord Andrew Adonis has been appointed as the new Minister of State for Transport and Paul Clark MP as the new Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department or Transport.
