Renault Trucks South West are jubilant after securing an important conquest deal from recycling collection company, Coastal Waste, who taken delivery of eight 8×4 Renault Kerax 450.32 hookloaders.
Craig Adamson, Transport Manager of Exeter-based Coastal Waste, says: “When our vehicle replacement period came up, we looked at all the major marques, including Volvo, Scania, DAF and Renault. We found that Renault Trucks was very proactive in offering us the best overall package to move us forward, at a very competitive price.”
The environmental credentials were also cited as an important part of their decision to order the vehicles, which uses AdBlue technology designed to cut noxious and particulate exhaust emissions.
“The Kerax is also very user friendly,” continues Craig Adamson. “The vehicles have to operate around the rural country lanes of Devon and we have found that, being narrower than the DAFs, the Renault Kerax is more suited to this. Our drivers are very impressed with its ease of use and manoeuvrability.”
