New commercial vehicle specialist for GRS
A specialist remarketing business is strengthening its team with the appointment of a new commercial vehicle specialist.
David Fildes is joining GRS, which is part of the Greenhous Group, one of the UK’s largest motor groups, with a turnover of over £750 million.
David joins GRS after 21 years in the motor industry, including senior positions at a number of leading organisations in the light commercial vehicle sector.
This year alone, GRS is on target to sell more vehicles than ever before from across the range of manufacturers. 2008 will see a 30 per cent increase over its 2007 sales figures and plans are already well in place for a further jump in 2009.
Speaking about his move, David said: “GRS is definitely a company on the ascent.
“The team continues to be strengthened and I’m looking forward to working with motor retailers, large fleets and leasing companies, and manufacturers to build on our success in the commercial vehicle sector.
“GRS offers a tried and trusted source for moving used vehicles and out of the top 30 UK independent retailers, 27 deal with GRS. My role will be to make sure all of our customers and suppliers know what GRS can offer to ensure their own business success.”
David will report to Danny Hartshorne, Sales Director. He said: “2008 has been an excellent year for GRS. Our strategy now is to grow the business even further, bringing in the very best people from across the motor industry to help us achieve our goals.”
