Highways Agency warns of congestion around Cribbs Causeway
The Highways Agency is warning motorists of congestion on motorways around the retail park at Cribbs Causeway today (Monday, December 29).
Traffic has been building around Cribbs, which is located near junction 17 of the M5, throughout the morning.
There is severe congestion on the M5 southbound between the Almondsbury Interchange and junction 17 and northbound between junction 18 and 17. Traffic is also moving slowly on the M4 between j19 and the approach to the Almondsbury Interchange.
Gill Risdale, Highways Agency Traffic Officer Operations Manager said, “The traffic has been growing steadily over the morning and we would advise people to check the current situation on the M4 and M5 near Cribbs before setting out on their journey. We estimate there is a 30 minute delay at the moment.”
