The Highways Agency is warning motorists the M5 has been closed northbound at the Almondsbury Interchange following an incident this morning (January 5).
An LGV has overturned between junction 15 and 14 of the M5 and recovery is in progress. The M5 northbound has been closed at the Almondsbury Interchange and traffic is being diverted off at j16 and on to the A38. There is still access to the M4 and M32 from this junction. One lane is also closed on the M5 southbound.
Rob Parry, Highways Agency Traffic Officer Operations Manager said, “The traffic is building up quickly following this incident and we would advise people to check the current situation throughout the morning before setting out on their journey.”
