Skoda focuses on fleet appeal with FleetDirectory.co.uk
Skoda has launched an advertising campaign on the FleetDirectory.co.uk. Coinciding with their growing success as a fleet brand, Skoda saw their fleet market share rise from 1.4 per cent in 2007 to 1.8 per cent by the latter half of 2008.
Head of Business Sales at Škoda UK, Martin Burke, commented: “The low running costs and high residual values of Škoda vehicles are obviously appealing to cost conscious fleet operators.
“During these uncertain economic times it is imperative that fleet owners do their utmost to get the most value for money – which is something Škoda has always prided itself on.
“We expect to continue our success in the fleet market with the launch of the new Superb which offers competitive emissions and tax rates, low whole life costs and high residual values at an affordable list price.”
News comes ahead of the launch of the new Octavia this month. With an extensive exterior and interior facelift, the new Octavia brings the hugely successful model up to date with the brand’s current range.
The new Octavia has undergone a series of significant design changes which include dynamic, sweeping headlights and complimentary front fog lights, new foldable door mirrors and body coloured bumpers and side mouldings.
Improvements go well beyond a traditional facelift with the new Octavia benefiting from a partially re-designed interior which features a range of new steering wheels, new stereo systems and new upholstery.
The new Octavia also takes the S, SE and Elegance trim naming system from the New Superb and comes with new alloy wheels and two new paint colours – Arctic Green Metallic and Aqua Blue Metallic.
A brand new 1.4 TSI 122bhp engine will replace the current 1.6 FSI 115bhp engine and the 2.0 FSI 200bhp engine with DSG transmission will be introduced on the Octavia vRS.
The new, polished Octavia allow Skoda to sit comfortably among the other company car driver’s favourites: Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Volkswagen.
