Overnight safety work- M4 spur road, nr London Heathrow
The Highways Agency is carrying out overnight safety work on the southbound approach to the Concorde Roundabout on the M4 Spur road, near Heathrow Airport starting on Monday 12 January for one week.
This safety work which take place overnight between the hours of 10.00pm and 5.00am includes laying anti-skid surfacing and refreshing the existing road markings. All four lanes including the bus lane which approach the Concorde Roundabout will be affected. This work is weather dependent.
The work will be carried out in two stages: On the first night of the work, lanes 1, 2 and 3 of the Spur Road as well as the two outer lanes of the M4 Junction 4 roundabout will be closed. As a result, traffic will be diverted to the bus lane. From the second night onwards, lanes 2 and 3 as well as the bus lane and the two inner lanes of M4 Junction 4 roundabout will be closed and traffic will be diverted to lane 1 of the Spur Road.
Highways Agency project sponsor, Clive Cooper, said: “We thank drivers for their patience whilst we carry out this safety work. We will limit delays by working at night when traffic flows are at their lowest.”
