Masternaut Three X Wins Zenithoffice Contract

Masternaut, one of the largest specialists in vehicle tracking has won a new contract with Oldham based Zenithoffice a UK-wide office products supplier.
The deal has seen Zenithoffice take delivery of a fully integrated real-time enterprise system to gain more stringent control over its entire business and improve customer service. The manaagement tool that Zenithoffice is tailored for them. The kit is built around the vehicle tracking service and PDA-based X-Delivery Pro service management system integrated with Horizon, a speciality enterprise system from BlueSky developed for office-supplies companies.
The Horizon element of the system went live in May 2008, with the PDAs coming on stream in November 2008. Zenithoffice now can track its fleet of delivery vans in real time using Three X, with the PDAs replacing paper delivery notes through electronic signature capture. Other paper documentation is also eliminated by comprehensive computerised records held in the centralised enterprise system.
Paul Rocca, IT Director, Zenithoffice stated, “With this fully integrated easy to use system we gain a wide range of benefits. We can track vehicles and deliveries in real time with Masternaut Three X and the Three X PDAs, sending jobs directly to drivers. By uploading jobs onto the Masternaut map we can see deliveries as they are made, charting their progress throughout the day and informing customers when they can expect their supplies. It has extended our customer service levels and our clients appreciate our new approach.
Zenithoffice has an enviable on-time delivery record and the system is supporting this by quickly reassigning deliveries to the nearest available driver should there be a delay. In addition, it claims the system helps the company to provide customers with more information by sending an automatic email alert to inform them that their items have been delivered together with proof-of-delivery details.
Rocca concluded, “We are very pleased with the new system’s capabilities and we are already seeing how it is moving the business forward in terms of better customer service and reduced administration. In addition, the GreenerFleet functionality built into the vehicle tracking system is already showing us that we are saving 30 to 40 miles a day through better routing and driving styles. It also enables us to manage personal usage of company vehicles, which helps to reduce fuel costs further.
