Course teaches risk of speeding
Some far-sighted police forces are offering speed awareness workshops to those drivers caught slightly above the speed limit by Safety Partnership cameras, instead of pursuing prosecution and the inevitable fine and points on the driving licence that follow. In the Thames Valley, it’s DriveTech that delivers these workshops.
Far from being resentful about having to ‘go back to school’, the majority of the attendees can admit that they learnt something worthwhile from the experience, as this article from the January 9th 2009 issue of the Oxford Mail and Oxford Times testifies below.
