Winchester Motor Company has supplied North Primary Care Trust with two new Octavia estate vehicles for essential paramedic work.

The Octavia was chosen for its performance, design, reliability, and safety features that met the high standards needed for the important work that the vehicles will be required to achieve.

Paramedic Nigel Lovell, of North Hampshire PCT said: “After long deliberation and much in-depth research, the Škoda Octavia beat strong competition from other well-known manufacturers to be chosen for our replacement paramedic ambulances.”

Both Nigel and colleague Alan Barton will operate the Octavias in and around Basingstoke and areas of North Hampshire. The smooth operating Direct Shift Gearbox is perfect for use. This allows for improved fuel economy and ease of use when driving, matched with excellent responsiveness to the 2.0 TDI (140bhp) engine.

Mark Mills-Goodlet, Managing-Director of Winchester Motor Company, commented: “We look forward to hearing from both Nigel and Alan about how the Octavias help them in their pursuit of saving lives throughout Hampshire. These guys do a terrific job for each and every one of us in our community.

“All at Winchester Motor Company are obviously delighted to be part of the process and of the supply of Škoda vehicles to such a vital emergency service.”

To see why Škoda is the first choice for the ambulance and police service, just call into the Winchester Motor Company dealership on St. Cross Road, Winchester for a closer look.
