Pay-as-you-go model introduced for CFC fleet software for the first time
A pay-as-you-go model has been introduced by fleet software market leader CFC Solutions for its Fleet Plus fleet management system.
The new approach is designed to enable customers to acquire a comprehensive fleet software package without the upfront costs involved in a traditional software sale.
Managing director Neville Briggs explained: “The recession has actually increased levels of interest in fleet software because it allows companies to really get a grip on the costs of operating company cars, vans and trucks.
“However, those same companies are also sometimes unable to fund a traditional software purchase, so the new pay-as-you-go model is our response, enabling them to acquire Fleet Plus at a minimum initial cost.”
CFC says that for the price of leasing a vehicle or two every month, Fleet Plus can be adopted, installed and all staff trained in using the system effectively.
Briggs explained: “The PAYG approach means that the software can be put in place and containing costs with little initial outlay. On a month-by-month basis, we are confident that it will more than pay for itself in terms of savings made.”
This new pricing move is expected to prove especially popular public sector fleets, with the PAYG model meaning that organisations may be able to sidestep longwinded tendering processes and enabling them to implement fleet management changes swiftly to meet the financial challenges that they are facing.
Briggs said: “Clearly, the public sector is being affected by the tough economic conditions as much as anyone. Many want to adopt new fleet software but – similarly to private companies – cannot afford the initial cost. PAYG gives them a new route.”
In used by hundreds of the UK’s largest fleets, Fleet Plus is a complete software solution designed to manage the diverse needs of the modern fleet professional.
Developed for medium to large organisations with a requirement to manage in-house fleets efficiently and effectively, Fleet Plus is especially useful for tracking and managing costs throughout the whole vehicle life cycle.
Existing Fleet Plus customers operate in diverse markets and because no business operates in exactly the same way, it can be configured to match the processes and organisational workflow of each.
The product is used by fleets in a wide variety of sectors, from distribution to construction and from finance to the emergency services. In addition, Fleet Plus can also manage more specialised fleet areas such as commercial and ‘O’ licence fleets, workshops or even employee car ownership schemes.
