700 jobs at risk as 1car1 look set to go bust
More than 700 jobs are at risk as Britain’s largest independent car and van hire firm looks set to go into receivership, the Sun reports.
The Leeds-based firm 1Car1 told staff in a memo, ‘We cannot guarantee salaries will be paid as normal at the end of the month.
Adding, ‘We are working closely with the proposed administrators to find the best solution’, while blaming a ‘change in lending policy’ by two of its banks.
No-one at the firm was able to comment.
