Navman Wireless wins innovation award
Navman Wireless has been named winner of the prestigious Business Innovation accolade at the Sentinel Business Awards for its vehicle tracking software system.
The telematics technology company, based in Keele, is at the forefront of the current growth in vehicle tracking and mobile data development.
“The company is at the very edge in its field and its latest Online AVL2 high tech product, launched last year, is yet another chapter in its long line of technological success stories,” said Central Tonight presenter Bob Warman, who handed the BIC-backed award to Navman Wireless at a glittering ceremony.
“The new development takes vehicle tracking technology to a new level, and was produced following in-depth client research to establish customers’ true business requirements.”
OnlineAVL2 has been described as ‘the next generation of vehicle tracking software’ and offers companies managing fleets radical and dynamic new ways of viewing driver locations.
It integrates full aerial photographic images with traditional street level mapping to display, at a glance from any PC, the position of vehicles in relation to neighbourhood buildings, depots, car parks etc. Its advanced functionality and improved user interface has also been the springboard for a raft of new telematics developments.
Navman Wireless was also runner up in the award programme’s Business of the Year category.
The Sentinel Business Awards took place at a at the Best Western Stoke-on-Trent Moathouse Hotel on Tuesday March 31.
