Gregory Reaffirms Loyalty To ATS Euromaster And Michelin Brand

Gregory Distribution Ltd, is a Devon based company operating a of over 450 trucks and 750 trailers, has confirmed its renewed agreement with ATS Euromaster to fit across its fleet. The deal, valued at approximately £1 million per year, continues a business relationship dating back to the early 90s and marks one of the tyre provider’s largest independent customers.

A full time resident technician is based at each of Gregory’s main depots in North Tawton and Cullompton, which are together responsible for servicing tyres on over half of the fleet as part of this immense contract.

Andy Price, Engineering Services Manager at Gregory Distribution, says: “ATS Euromaster manages our tyres to a very high level, with a bespoke fitment policy outlining specific tyres and pressures for each axle of our various vehicle and trailer configurations.”

“Combined with an ongoing programme of good tyre husbandry, this helps to maximise tyre safety and efficiency, whilst reducing the risk of a vehicle suffering from tyre related downtime at the roadside. Testament to ATS Euromaster’s close management of the fleet is our regroove rate of over 60 per cent at our two principal sites; double the national average,” he adds.

Central to the contract are routine tyre safety inspections carried out by the resident fitters and supported by mobile ATS Euromaster technicians in other parts of the UK. These inspections use an electronic data capture system, which allows technicians to record each tyre’s condition and tread depth. onto a small handheld computer before uploading the report in ‘real time’ to the central Euromaster Inspector database. Once the information has been collected and collated by the Euromaster Inspector central database any tyre replacement or service work required can be coordinated by the local ATS Euromaster service centre.

Gregory Distribution also utilises ATS Euromaster’s Web Reporter system, which provides accurate data regarding all new tyre purchases, as well as itemising any service work carried out by on-site fitters, specialist truck centres or mobile service vans.
