ABNORMAL LOAD MOVEMENT FROM FIDDLERS FERRY POWER STATION, CHESHIRE TO ALSTOM POWER SERVICE UK, STAFFORD
An abnormal load (Generator Stator) is due to be moved from Fiddlers Ferry Power Station, Cheshire to Alstom Power Service UK, Stafford. The journey is due to commence on Saturday 16th May 2009.
The Generator Stator will leave Fiddlers Ferry Power Station at approximately 0800hrs and travel to the M6, Junction 16 arriving at approximately 1500hrs where the vehicle will be parked. The second stage of the journey will commence from M6, Junction 16 at approximately 0800hrs on Sunday 17th May 2009 to arrive at Alstom Power Service UK at approximately 1300hrs.
The load is being moved over two stages in order to minimise the impact on other road users and ensure safe passage of the load.
The load will be escorted by the Police throughout the whole journey.
