Kellogg’s select ALD Automotive for fleet solutions

Cost savings, vehicle leasing and solutions offered by has resulted in food company Kellogg’s choosing it as its new company car provider.

Manchester-based Kellogg’s operates a 200-strong company car fleet and has signed a three-year sole supply full maintenance hire agreement with ALD Automotive, one of the UK’s leading vehicle providers with a fleet of 50,000 cars and vans.

The switch from another leasing company, follows the completion of an extensive tender process during which potential suppliers were evaluated on price competitiveness as well as their ability to deliver leading solutions to meet Kellogg’s operational requirements.

As a result, the organisation’s new company car choice list is primarily focused around Honda and Volkswagen models but includes various other manufacturers. Vehicles will typically clock-up around 80,000 miles during their three-year lifecycle.

ALD Automotive managing director Keith Allen said: “We have been able to leverage our relationships with the vehicle manufacturers to obtain excellent terms on a range of models that will reduce costs for Kellogg’s.”

The new business partnership means that Kellogg’s will benefit from ALD Automotive’s threesixty suite of online fleet management applications, which was launched last year.

The system’s functionality means that future fleet policy changes as well as driver information updates and vehicle re-allocation can be completed online. Kellogg’s can also update ‘back office’ data online.

threesixty also sets up a quote system to mirror Kellogg’s fleet grading so company car drivers only have access to the vehicles within their policies. All quotes include special terms/standard options. The online system controls the order process through a pre-defined route ensuring it follows the correct approval process. Once vehicles are ordered drivers see real-time updates on the status of delivery.

Kellogg’s required cost savings and visibility, together with fleet management solutions that respected internal policies and processes.
