Advice for drivers – Overnight closures on the A30

Drivers are being advised that both carriageways of the A30 between M5 Jnc 31 and Alphington will be closed tonight (26 May) and the nights of the 27 and 28 May between 20.00 and 06.00, for the installation of gantries.

Diversions are as follows:

A30 eastbound – traffic wishing to access the M5 northbound will be directed to exit at Alphington Interchange and follow Alphington Road (A377), Marsh Barton Road, Bad Homburg Way (B3123), and then the A379 to rejoin the M5 at Junction 30.

Traffic wishing to access the A38 southbound will be directed to use Alphington Interchange and follow Alphington Road (A377), Marsh Barton Road, Bad Homburg Way (B3123), A379 to rejoin the A38 at Wobbly Wheel Junction.

A30 westbound – traffic wishing to travel west on the A30 from the A38 will be directed off at the Wobbly Wheel junction onto the old Exeter bypass (A379), turn left at Devon Hotel roundabout onto Bad Homburg Way, through Marsh Barton and then the Alphington Road (A377) to gain access to the A30 at Alphington Interchange.

Traffic wishing to travel west on the A30 from the M5 will be directed off the motorway at Sandygate Jnc 30 to take the A379 to Matford, then Trusham Road (B3123) and Marsh Barton Road through Marsh Barton onto the A377 to Alphington Interchange.
