Overnight work – A1089 southbound, near Tilbury, Essex
Overnight work to replace traffic loop sensors on the A1089 southbound near Tilbury in Essex is due to take place on Saturday 30 May for one night between 23.30 and 07.00 and a diversion route will be in place. The work will replace traffic loops removed during previous resurfacing work.
Road users will see advance warning signs in place before and during the work, allowing drivers to make choices about their journeys.
In order to carry out the work safely, the following diversions will be in place. Both the A13 westbound and eastbound to the A1089 southbound will be closed and the diversions will be signed and in operation.
* A13 eastbound to the A1089 southbound closure diversion
Traffic wishing to join A1089 southbound from the A13 eastbound will be diverted to the Orsett Cock roundabout onto the A1013 Stranford Road to join the B149 Woodview at the Danesholes roundabout. Traffic will continue in the right-hand lane and take the first exit at Marshfoot Road roundabout onto the A126, where it will take the first right to join the A1089 southbound.

* A13 westbound to the A1089 southbound closure diversion.
Traffic wishing to join the A1089 southbound from the A13 westbound will be diverted to the North Stifford Interchange onto the A1012 and then take the second exit at Treacle Mine roundabout onto Lodge Lane. Traffic will continue over the Daneholes roundabout onto the B149 Woodview. Road users will need to keep to the right-hand lane until they come to the Marshfoot Road roundabout where they will take the first exit onto the A126 and then take the first right-hand turn to join the A1089 southbound.
