CLM Appointed to Manage Major Publisher’s Fleet
CLM Fleet Management has been appointed by one of the world’s largest publishing houses, Macmillan Publishers, to manage its primarily Volkswagen and Audi diesel 110-strong UK fleet. The appointment follows the retirement of its long-standing administration and fleet manager, Alan Lewis.
CLM will be working closely with facilities manager, Les Watts, to introducing new fleet management initiatives including driver training and accident management. Also to be introduced will be competitive tendering through its Contract Management solution, which employs a panel of contract hire suppliers to provide competitive quotes for each new vehicle on the fleet, helping to drive down acquisition costs.
All Macmillan drivers will be able to log onto CLM’s FleetActive web portal to use the online driver quotation system to compare whole life operation costs, CO2 emissions, BIK charges and vehicle model specifications. Macmillan management will also be able to download the latest and up to date fleet reports.
“We are delighted to be working with a leading international business like Macmillan, and to help introduce a number of new management initiatives to the fleet,” said CLM managing director, Tony Hulatt.
