A27 Berwick roundabout, Eastbourne street lighting works
Lighting on the A27 at Berwick in East Sussex will be replaced from Monday 15 June. The work, near the Drusillas Park roundabout, is expected to last five weeks.
The new lights will use less energy. Most of the work will take place overnight between 20.00hrs and 06.00hrs though some work may be carried out during the day.
For the safety of road users and roadworkers, there will be single lane closures at times around the roundabout, while work is carried out, with traffic being controlled past the works using temporary traffic lights.
Martin Wright, Highways Agency Route Performance Manager said:
“This work will be carried out overnight to ensure minimal disruption to road users. The work will improve the street lighting on the A27 at this location.”
