Fiat Delivers With Fiorino Order For Swedish PO
Fiat Group Automobiles have delivered the first of 3,000 specifically modified Fiat Fiorino 1.3 MultiJet vans with 6-speed Comfort-matic semi-automatic transmissions to Posten, the Swedish Post Office with he first hand over being made by Lorenzo Sistino, CEO of Fiat Automobiles and Fiat Professional, to Andreas Falkenmark, CEO of Posten, at its Headquarters in Stockholm.
The 3,000 vehicle contract demonstrates why Fiorino 1.3 MultiJet was recently named Van of the Year 2009 with it’s versatile characteristics completely redefining the standards in its category allowing it to play a leading role in the light commercial vehicle market. Designed to satisfy the specific requirements of customers looking for a compact van with low running costs the Fiorino offers this plus agile handling, and manoeuvrability when parking.

Low running costs mean low fuel consumption and emissions and the Fiorino is able to sip fuel at a rate of only 62 mpg (combined cycle), which gives the 75 bhp 1.3 MultiJet turbodiesel version a range of over 620 miles on a single tank of fuel. At the same time, its emissions of just 116 g/km of CO2 are the lowest in its segment. This latter aspect was particularly significant for Posten as in Sweden there is accentuated sensitivity regarding the environment. The Posten fleet can also count on the support of the Fiat Professional network of 31 dealers and 104 official workshops in Sweden, offering comprehensive geographical coverage as well as 24-7 roadside assistance.
The Fiat Fiorino, together with the other Fiat Professional products, forms part of one of the most modern and complete ranges of commercial vehicles available on the market today. The Fiorino range will soon be expanded, with the introduction of a Natural Power version, able to use either petrol or methane, and the innovative Traction+ system which significantly improves traction in slippery conditions.
