Mattress Supplier Takes Comfort Option With Citroen Relay Luton Van
Citroën’s latest specification of Ready to Run Relay Luton van has been chosen by Mattressman.co.uk, one of the UK’s largest online suppliers of mattresses and beds, to provide a next-day delivery service. The four Citroen Relay vans benefit from the latest specification upgrades introduced by their builders, Buckstone Motor Bodies Ltd. The already high specification of the vans has been improved with the addition of a new “Super-Slick” front-end aerodynamics to reduce wind resistance and improve fuel economy. The Super-Slick aerodynamic Luton head also adds a small, but worthwhile, improvement in loadspace volume in the over-cab body section.
The three 4.343m long main deck bodied Relay Luton vans and one 4.876m extra long model are built on Relay 35 L4 160hp chassis cabs. Twin, body side wall-mounted, recessed load restraint rails are provided. In service, Mattressman.co.uk is able to carry up to 30 mattresses in the extra long Relay Luton and 20 in the shorter model. The four Relay Luton vans are expected to be in service for the company for three years during which time they will have covered some 150,000 miles.
