End of X-Type signals cull of 300 posts
Jaguar Land Rover is cutting 300 jobs at its Halewood plant on Merseyside following plans to cease production of Jaguar’s X-Type model by the end of the year, reports John Reed, Motor Industry Correspondent .
The carmaker, owned by Tata Motors, the Indian group, also announced a three-week shutdown of the plant, starting in September, because of "ongoing weakness in the market".
