Veolia Transport Brings New Expertise to Run Hong Kong Tramways
French multinational Veolia has acquired a 50 percent stake in Hong Kong Tramways to assume the daily management of Hong Kong’s iconic tram system. Veolia said it wants to use Hong Kong as a springboard to China and the rest of Asia. Founded in 1904, Hong Kong Tramways operates the world’s largest double-deck tram fleet.
