Iveco ECODAILY Has The Right Credentials For G8
Iveco‘s new light commercial vehicle, the ECODAILY manages to combine enhanced environmental credentials with great performance, and it is these credentials that have seen the electric version of the vehicle, launched only one month ago, being chosen to support the work of Italy’s Civil Protection department at the high profile G8 Summit in L’Aquila, Italy.
Completing the fleet are 80 Iveco Irisbus vehicles, comprising of 50 coaches and 30 minibuses, for transporting many of the 2,500 people attending the G8, in addition to approximately 800 journalists from across the globe. The Iveco Irisbus vehicles include 50 coaches and 30 minibuses, providing services to delegations from the participating countries for the duration of the G8. There are also two electric Europolis buses, amongst other minibuses in the mixed fleet, acting as an internal shuttle service within the Coppito police academy in L’Aquila, which is the official venue for the G8.
All of these vehicles are part of a broader supply that the Fiat Group, in its role as the event’s main sponsor, provided by its dedicated team choosing various models to make up an eco-sustainable fleet that is able to meet all the G8′s logistical requirements.
