Repairs to the A428 between St Neots and Croxton
Improvements to the A428 in Cambridgeshire will shortly be carried out by the Highways Agency.
Overnight repair work to the A428 at various locations between St Neots and Croxton includes resurfacing, replacement of road markings and the cleaning of the drainage system.
Work will start on Monday 10 August and will be completed by 22 August.
The improvements will be at four locations: the Tesco roundabout at Eynesbury, the Tithe Farm roundabout at the eastern end of the St Neots bypass and two sections of the A428 between Wintringham Hall and Croxton.The repairs will take place overnight between 20:00 and 06:00 from Mondays to Fridays.
On the three nights from 10 to 12 August, the A428 will be closed in both directions between the Crown public house roundabout at Eaton Socon and the Caxton Gibbet roundabout.
On the nights of 13, 14, and 17 to 21 August, the A428 will be closed in both directions between the Tithe Farm roundabout and the Caxton Gibbet roundabout. During the closures, long distance traffic travelling eastbound will be diverted up the A1 northbound and onto the A14 at Brampton.
Traffic will then continue on the A14 eastbound to Godmanchester and then down the A1198 back to the A428 at Caxton Gibbet. Westbound traffic will use the same diversion route, but in the opposite direction.

Access will be maintained at all times for local traffic and for the emergency services.Drivers should expect delays and should seek alternative routes where possible.
