Whole Life Vehicle Conference 2009

The Whole Life Vehicle Conference aims to explore the critical factors facing the next generation of motor vehicles and will be running at Turweston Aerodrome, Silverstone on November 18-19.

The DRIVENet event allows delegates to see and drive the latest electric and low carbon vehicles and find out how the automotive industry is planning for the whole life of future vehicles – climate change, legislation, design, technologies, alternative fuels, recycling, impact on lifestyle – a must for anyone interested in the development of a sustainable transport industry and infrastructure!

We may have electric vehicles operating on our roads, hybrid buses in our cities and an increasing selection of non-fossil fuels, but how sustainable will low carbon vehicles be in the long term? Speakers on this and other subjects include:

Professor Brian Collins, Chief Scientific Officer, Department for Transport. Robin Haycock, Assistant Director, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and Office for Low Carbon Vehicles.
David Godboer, Deputy Chief Executive, The Design Council.
Christopher Maltin, Founder and Chairman, Organic Power.
Jason Reakes, Head of Industrial and Governmental Affairs, BMW.
Ed Gibbs, Principal Consultant, Frost & Sullivan.
Phil Pettitt, Chief Executive, Innovits and after dinner speaker
Richard Noble, Project Director, Bloodhound Super Sonic Car
