iSixt offers rental bookings via iPhone

Sixt has launched  a complete new iSixt release to enhance corporate and private customers’ experience of vehicle rental.

Available to download free from the Apple iPhone ‘App Store’, iSixt 3.0 allows customers to select and reserve their preferred car or van – with just a few taps on the screen.

iSixt 3.0 allows users to swap between private and corporate profile log in pages. Within each profile, the new system features a favourite booking function, where previous rental details are saved automatically and only the time and date of the rental needs to be amended.

Customers can also take advantage of the new online check-in, where they can activate their rental up to four hours before pick-up and select the exact vehicle they want to hire from the comprehensive range of cars.

The new iSixt 3.0 application uses the innovative “Apple Push Notification” technology and iPhone Google Maps functionality to offer local car and van hire specials.

Other enhancements to iSixt 3.0 include direct access to the Sixt rent a car blog, where customers can view the latest news, fleet additions and deals from Sixt UK, as well as Sixt’s ‘Top Offers’, which ensures that iPhone reservations are up to 10% cheaper than booking in a branch.

Per Voegerl, commercial director, at Sixt said: “Since the launch of the first iSixt application in late 2008, which made us the first car rental company to develop an iPhone car hire reservation service, we have been focused on enhancing our offering to make renting from Sixt faster and even more user-friendly. iSixt 3.0 is part of our commitment to add value for our customers and improve the accessibility of our services.

“While other rental companies do offer mobile reservation services, iSixt 3.0 provides our customers with a completely unique and interactive experience. Users can access everything they need to rent a car or van, from finding their nearest location and the best deals, to a simple reservation and check in service.”
