North East Roadworks bulletin 17-23 October 2009

A1 Dishforth to Leeming, North Yorkshire Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 from the Baldersby Interchange to the Dishforth Interchange for road upgrading works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 6am throughout November. There will also be narrow lanes and a 50 mph speed restriction in place 24 hours a day.

A1 Catterick North to Kirkby Fleetham, North Yorkshire Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Catterick North Interchange and Kirkby Fleetham for carriageway resurfacing. There will be contraflow in operation north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 4 November.

A1M Junction 60-61, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1M for bridge repair works. There will be one lane open southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 21-25 October.

A1M Junctions 58 to 59, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A1M between Junctions 58 and 59 due to bridge repairs. There will be narrow lanes both north and southbound and a 50mph speed limit. Restrictions will be in place 24 hours. The works are scheduled until 25 October.

A1M, Junction 65 to Junction 64, County Durham Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1M at Washington for road markings, resurfacing and sign replacement. There will be one lane open southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 17 October.

A1M Junction 62-63, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1M from junction 62 to junction 63 for drainage survey works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 19-31 October.

A1M Junction 60 to 61, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1M between Junction 60 and 61 for carriageway resurfacing. There will be a full closure southbound, with diversions in place, between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 21 October.

A1M Junction 57-65, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1M between junctions 57-65 for SOS telephone upgrading. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 19-23 October.

A1 Wooler, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Purdey Lodge and Wooler for carriageway patching. There will be convoy working in operation between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 19-21 October.

A1 Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at the Gosforth Park Interchange for bridge maintenance works. There will be one lane open on the roundabout and slip roads between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 17 October.

A1 Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at the Derwenthaugh Interchange for vegetation clearance. There will be one lane open on the northbound entry slip between 8pm and 5.30am. The works will take place 16 – 17 October.

A1 Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at the Derwenthaugh Interchange for barrier repair works. There will be narrow lanes in operation northbound between 8pm and 5.30am. The works will take place 17–18 October.

Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at the Gosforth Park Interchange for barrier repair works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 5.30am. The works will take place 19-20 October.

Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at the Seaton Burn Interchange for utility works. There will be one lane open northbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 20-21 October.

A696 Ponteland, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A696 near Ponteland for electrical works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 17 October.

A19 Killingworth to Holystone, North Tyneside Slight delays are expected on the A19 from Killingworth to Holystone for bridge reconstruction. There will be narrow lanes in place with a 50 mph speed limit. The works will continue until December. The road will be closed every night from 22-24 October between 8pm and 6am.

A1 Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 near the Swalwell Interchange for barrier repair works. There will be a slip road closure at the northbound exit between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 18-19 October.

A1 Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 from the Eighton Lodge to Coalhouse interchanges for electrical works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 21-23 October.

A19 Silverlink Interchange, North Tyneside Slight delays are expected overnight on the A19 at the Silverlink Interchange for ground investigation works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 19-23 October.

A19 Dudley Lane Interchange, North Tyneside Slight delays are expected overnight on the A19 at the Dudley Lane interchange for horticultural works. There will be one lane open on the southbound exit slip between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 15 – 17 October.

A66 Bowes, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A66 near Bowes for carriageway widening works. There will be lane closures and contraflow in operation east and westbound 24 hours a day. The works will take place 19 October until January 2010.

A66 Scotch Corner to Ravensworth, County Durham Slight delays are expected on the A66 between the Scotch Corner roundabout and Ravensworth for various repair works. There will be one lane open east and westbound between 8am and 6pm. This will take place until 6 November.

A66 Long Newton to Elton, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A66 between Long Newton and Elton for carriageway resurfacing. There will be some lane closures between 8pm and 6am and some phases of 24 hour contraflow, east and westbound. The works will take place 12-27 October.

A66 Hartforh to Ravensworth, County Durham Slight delays are expected on the A66 between Hartforth and Ravensworth for pavement survey works. There will be one lane open eastbound between 8pm and 6am.The works will take place 19-24 October.
