2010 Geneva International Motor Show just around the corner
The preparations for the 2010 Geneva International Motor show are well underway. Since all of the major manufacturers have already committed to being there, it looks like being another outstanding event. There will also be several new marques from emerging markets, such as China and India.
In order to develop a visual identity for this event, each year a number of agencies and artists are invited to participate in a competition to present their ideas. This year, the jury has chosen an artist from Geneva to provide the illustration for the 2010 Show.
Roger Pfund is a painter and graphic artist born in Bern, who established his studio for visual communications in Geneva since 1971. Asked about his ideas for the creation of his illustration, he responds that: “At a time of great uncertainty, we have chosen to take a poetic route. Lights in the night, a route following your fantasies, thinking about travelling at whatever speed you desire, your imagination taking you away, with fireworks illuminating the darkness.”
