Arval’s ‘Green’ Commitment Rewarded
Arval, Europe’s leading fleet and fuel management company, has won the Green Office award at the 2009 Wiltshire Wildlife Corporate Green awards. The award, presented to Arval by BBC TV presenter Dick Strawbridge, comes only weeks after the company achieved ISO 14001 environmental certification and shows the continued commitment of Arval to fully embrace environmental best practice.
To win the Green Office award, Arval was able to demonstrate how employees have managed and reduced their environmental impact in and around their offices, promoting best practise and showing a strong commitment to the environment.
Danny Clenaghan, Card Development Director at Arval comments: “We are proud to receive this award which is testament to the ongoing commitment to the environment that runs throughout our organisation and the wide range of initiatives that we have put into place.”
He adds:“We recognise that our day-to-day operations can have both a positive and negative impact on the environment and are fully focused on keeping our impact to a minimum. This award is a great endorsement of our environmental programme and provides a great springboard for our future activity.”
Iain Boyd Corporate Relations Officer at the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust comments: “It has been great to see a company like Arval entering the Corporate Green Awards and with such determination to make a positive difference.”
The winners were drawn from across Wiltshire and represent the best environmental practices in the county.
