Weekly Summary of Roadworks for M25
A traffic management summary for both new and ongoing work

Hatfield Tunnel
A1(M) junction 3 to 4 north and southbound (Hatfield Tunnel)
The north and southbound carriageways and entry slip roads between junctions 3 and 4 will be closed overnight from 11.00pm to 05.00am for 2 nights from Friday 27 November 09 until Saturday 28 November 09 and from 10.00pm until 05.00am from Saturday 28 November 09 until Sunday 29 November 09 for tunnel maintenance works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
Ongoing, work to refurbish the A1(M) Hatfield Tunnel continues this week. The second phase of the two-year refurbishment started in July. During this stage, which is expected to be completed in May 2010, the northbound tunnel will be closed and a two lane contra-flow with narrow lanes with a 40mph speed limit 24 hours a day will operate on the southbound carriageway. Drivers should expect moderate delays during this phase. A free recovery service is available.
M25 Widening
M25 Junction 16 to Junction 18
Ongoing work to widen this section of the M25 to four lanes in each direction continues this week. Three narrow lanes in each direction will be available during busy times, with off peak lane closures as required, mostly overnight. A 50mph speed restriction is in place between junctions 16 and 18 that will operate 24 hours a day until May 2010. A free recovery service is available.
M25 Junction 27
The clockwise exit carriageway at junction 27 will be closed overnight for 14 nights from 10.00pm to 05.30am from Monday 30 November 09 until Saturday 19 December 09 for reconstruction works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
M25 Junction 27-30
Work to widen M25 between junctions 27 and 28 to four lanes is taking place, with three narrow lanes in each direction available during busy times, with off peak lane closures as required, mostly overnight. A 50mph speed limit is in place. A free recovery service is available.
M25 Other works
M25 Junction 3
The clockwise carriageway at junction 3 will be closed overnight from 10.00 pm to 04.00am from Saturday 28 November 09 until Sunday 29 November 09 for electrical works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
M25 Junction 2
The anti clockwise carriageway at junction 2 will be closed overnight from 01.00am to 04.00am on Friday 27 November for electrical works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
M25 Junction 3
The anti clockwise carriageway at junction 3 will be closed overnight from 02.00 am to 04.00am on Thursday 26 November 09 for electrical works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
M25 Junction 3
The clockwise carriageway at junction 3 will be closed overnight from 01.00 am to 02.00am on Thursday 26 November 09 for electrical works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
M25 Junction 11
The clockwise carriageway will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 05.00am for 5 nights from Tuesday 24 November 09 until Sunday 29 November 09 for sign maintenance works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
M25 Junction 31
The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight from 10.30pm to 05.00am from Saturday 28 November 09 until Sunday 29 November 09 for structure maintenance works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
M25 Bell Common Tunnel (Junctions 26 to 27) Work to refurbish Bell Common Tunnel between junctions 26 and 27 of the M25 started in October 2008, and is expected to be complete in March 2010. There are 3 narrow lanes in operation with a 40mph speed limit 24 hours a day. There will also be overnight additional lane closures, and hard shoulder closures. A free recovery service is in place.

M4 Junction 1 to junction 3
The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight for from 09.00pm to 06.00am for 7 nights from Saturday 28 November 09 until Friday 04 December 09 for maintenance works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
Other Roads
A13 North Stifford
The westbound entry slip road to the A1012 at North Stifford will be closed overnight for 9 nights from 10.00pm to 05.00am from Friday 04 December 09 until Sunday 13 December 09 for bridge inspection and survey works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
A 282 junction 2 northbound
The northbound carriageway at junction 2 will be closed from 01.00am to 04.00am on Saturday 28 November 09 electrical works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
A 282 junction 2 southbound
The southbound carriageway at junction 2 will be closed from 10.00pm to 01.00am from Friday 27 November 09 until Saturday 28 November 09 for electrical works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
A 282 junction 3 northbound
The northbound carriageway at junction 3 will be closed for 2 nights from 10.00pm to 01.00am from Wednesday 25 November 09 until Friday 27 November 09 for electrical works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
A3/A309 Hook Interchange.
Ongoing major maintenance work on the A3 Esher Bypass between Clayton Bridge and the TfL boundary near Hook Interchange continues this week with completion due December 2009. There will be 24 hour working, with off peak lane closures and some overnight carriageway and slip road closures. There will be a temporary 40mph speed limit in force throughout the work. Slight delays are expected.
