Jaama, the Tamworth based fleet management software company, has been recognised and highly commended in The Midlands Business Awards 2009. The award is added to Jaama’s growing list of accolades as it continues to expand in the fleet, leasing and plant sectors with its sophisticated Key2 Management software as well as its focus on occupational road risk management best practice advice and Fleet Management Essentials workshops.

Since launch, Jaama has now won a total of 12 awards including four Best Software Fleet Awards and three Best Fleet Services Company Awards from the Institute of Transport Management, the 2009 Technology Award from trade publication Van Fleet World, and a software provider ‘Reader Recommended’ 2009 award from trade title Fleet News.

Jaama co-founder and managing director Jason Francis said: “We have shaken up the UK fleet software market with our web-based fleet management solution that delivers significant operating efficiencies to large and small businesses operating, leasing and renting cars, vans, HGVs and plant equipment.

“We have major business partnerships with companies across the public and private sectors and being highly commended in The Midlands Business Awards further underlines the progress the company has made in just five years of operation.”

He added: “External recognition is tremendously important for companies and we believe that the awards won support our reputation for innovation, service quality and customer focus, which, critically, is further underlined by the fact that most of our new businesses is secured via referrals from existing customers.”

The Midlands Business Awards were launched by Diamond Edge Events. Director Jo Bailey said: “We were delighted at the success of this year’s inaugural event and are looking to build on that in 2010.”

About 340 people from across the Midlands business community attended the Awards dinner, which was held in The Holte Suite, Villa Park – the home of Aston Villa Football Club. Jaama, launched a mere five years ago, was highly commended in the Best Business 2009 category (over £1 million turnover), with the award going to Gemini Wealth Management, of Sutton Coldfield.

Jaama customers include: The Co-operative Group, MITIE, AK Worthington, British Transport Police, BCA, Luton Borough Council, Hertfordshire County Council, DHL, Sheffield Insulation Group, Steria, Fleet Hire, iFleet and Newtown Vehicle Rentals
