Weekly Summary of Roadworks for M25 – 10/12/2009
A traffic management summary for both new and ongoing work

M25 Widening
M25 Junction 27
The anti clockwise exit link roads to the M11 in both directions will be closed overnight for 7 nights from 10.00pm to 05.30am from Tuesday 08 December 09 until Tuesday 15 December 09 for traffic management changes. A diversion to junction 26 and return will be fully signposted.
M25 Junction 27-30
Ongoing work to widen M25 between junctions 27 and 28 to four lanes is taking place, with three narrow lanes in each direction available during busy times, with off peak lane closures as required, mostly overnight. A 50mph speed limit is in place. A free recovery service is available.
M25 Junction 16 to Junction 18
Ongoing work to widen this section of the M25 to four lanes in each direction continues this week. Three narrow lanes in each direction will be available during busy times, with off peak lane closures as required, mostly overnight. A 50mph speed restriction is in place between junctions 16 and 18 that will operate 24 hours a day until May 2010. A free recovery service is available.
M25 Other works
M25 Junction 31
The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight from 10.30pm to 05.00am from Saturday 12 December 09 until Sunday 13 December 09 for structures maintenance works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
M25 Junction 13
The clockwise exit slip road at junction 13 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 05.00am for 2 nights from Monday 14 December 09 until Wednesday 16 December 09 for sign maintenance works. A diversion will be fully signposted.
M25 Junction 6
The clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 05.30am for 2 nights from Thursday 17 December 09 until Saturday 19 December 09 for maintenance works. A diversion to junction 8 and return anti clockwise will be fully signposted.
M25 Bell Common Tunnel (junctions 26 to 27)
Ongoing work to refurbish Bell Common Tunnel between junctions 26 and 27 of the M25 continues this week, and is expected to complete in March 2010. There are 3 narrow lanes in operation with a 40mph speed limit 24 hours a day. There will also be overnight additional lane closures, and the hard shoulder will be closed. A free recovery service will be in place.
A1(M) Hatfield Tunnel
Ongoing work to refurbish the A1(M) Hatfield Tunnel continues this week. The second phase of the two-year refurbishment started in July. During this stage, which is due for completion in May 2010, the northbound tunnel will be closed and a two lane contraflow, with narrow lanes and a 40mph speed limit 24 hours a day will operate in the southbound carriageway. Drivers should expect moderate delays during this phase. A free recovery service will be in place.

Other motorways
M3 Junction 12
The eastbound link road to the M25 junction 12 in both directions will be closed overnight for from 10.00pm to 05.00am from Tuesday 15 December 09 until Wednesday 16 December 09 for electrical works. A diversion will be fully signposted to junction 1 and return westbound..
M4 Junctions 3 to 1 eastbound
The eastbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 1will be closed overnight from 09.00pm to 06.00am for 4 nights from Monday 07 December 09 09 until Friday 11December 09 for maintenance works. A diversion via the A4 and A312 will be fully signposted.
Other Roads
A13 North Stifford
The westbound entry slip road to the A1012 at North Stifford will be closed overnight for 9 nights from 10.00pm to 05.30am from Friday 04 December 09 until Sunday 13 December 09 for bridge inspection and survey works. Closures on Friday nights will commence at 11.00pm.until 06.00am Saturday and from 10.00pm Saturday until 06.00am on Sunday. A diversion will be fully signposted.
A3 Painshill
The northbound entry slip road at the Painshill junction will be closed from 10.00pm to 05.00am from Monday 14 December 09 until Tuesday 15 December 09 for electrical works. A diversion to the next junction and return will be fully signposted.
A3 Painshill
The northbound entry slip road at the Ockham Road junction will be closed from 10.00pm to 05.30am from Tuesday 15 December 09 until Wednesday 16 December 09 for communications works. A diversion to the next junction and return will be fully signposted.
A3113 Stanwell Moor Roundabout
The link road from the Stanwell Moor Roundabout to the M25 clockwise carriageway at junction 14 will be closed from 10.00pm to 05.00am for 2 nights from Monday 14 December 09 until Wednesday 16 December 09 for communications works. A diversion to junction 13 and return clockwise will be fully signposted.
A3/A309 Hook Interchange
Ongoing major maintenance works on the A3 Esher Bypass between Clayton Bridge and the TfL boundary near Hook Interchange continues this week with completion due this month. There will be 24 hour working, with off peak lane closures and some overnight carriageway and slip road closures. There will be a temporary 40mph speed limit in force throughout the works.. Slight delays are expected.
