NEW SCHEMES

M65

Junction 6 to Junction 7 Knuzden Brook to Dunkenhalgh Park (resurfacing and bridge works) – lane closures overnight between 22.00 and 05.00 for carriageway resurfacing and barrier replacement, plus weekend lane closures for bridge deck rewaterproofing.  Work continues until the end of March.

M62

Junction 8 to 7 Rainhill to Burtonwood (resurfacing) – closure of one lane westbound plus total closure of the westbound exit slip road at Junction 7 Rainhill between 22.00 and 06.00 from Monday 11th January until Sunday 17th January for resurfacing.

ONGOING SCHEMES

M62

Junction 11 Birchwood to Junction 12 Eccles Interchange (barrier works) – 24-hour narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit enforced by speed cameras plus various lane closures in both directions overnight between 22.00 and 05.00 for the replacement of the existing steel barriers with a continuous concrete barrier along the central reservation. Work continues until April 2010.

M602
Junction 1 to Junction 3, Eccles Interchange to Regent Road (safety system installation) – various lane closures, including some total closures, in both directions for the installation of the MIDAS traffic safety system, including insertion of cables in the carriageway and installation of electronic signs. Work continues until the end of March 2010.

M56
Junction 9 to Junction 16, Lymm to Ellesmere Port (safety system installation) – various lane closures in both directions for the installation of the MIDAS traffic safety system, including insertion of cables in the carriageway and installation of electronic signs. Work continues until April 2010.

M6
Junction 22 to Junction 23, Newton-le-Willows to Haydock (bridge improvements) – narrow lanes and contraflow in both directions, plus various off-peak lane closures, with 50mph speed limit enforced by cameras for repairs and improvements to bridges. Work continues until March 2010.
