WEST MIDLANDS MOTORWAY AND TRUNK ROADS MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME 18 – 24 JANUARY 2010
M6 Junction 8 (Ray Hall – M5 North to M6 North & M6 South to M5 South link roads)
The link roads from the M5 northbound to the M6 northbound and from the M6 southbound to the M5 southbound at M6 junction 8 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 5.30am Monday 18 January 2010 to Thursday 21 January 2010 for gantry erection, the installation of narrow lanes and concrete barriers as part of the Birmingham Box Managed Motorways scheme. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 10 (Willenhall)
The southbound exit slip road of the M6 at junction 10 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm (8.00pm Saturday nights) to 6.00am (8.00am Saturday mornings & 10.00am Sunday mornings) from Monday 18 January 2010 to Wednesday 27 January 2010 for the installation of concrete barriers as part of the Birmingham Box Managed Motorways scheme. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 8 (M42 South to M6 North link road)
The link road from the M42 southbound to the M6 northbound at M42 junction 8 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 5.30am from Monday 18 January 2010 to Thursday 21 January 2010 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 5 (Castle Bromwich)
The southbound entry slip road of the M6 at junction 5 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 5.30am from Monday 18 January 2010 to Tuesday 19 January 2010 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 9 (Walsall)
The northbound exit slip road of the M6 at junction 9 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 5.30am from Monday 18 January 2010 to Friday 22 January 2010 for the installation of concrete barriers and narrow lanes as part of the Birmingham Box Managed Motorways scheme. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M40 Junction 15 (Warwick)
The northbound entry slip road and southbound exit slip road of the M40 at junction 15 will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 18 January to Saturday 23 January as part of the M40 Junction 15 Improvement works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A446 / A452 Stonebridge
The southbound carriageway of the A446 towards Stonebridge Island, A45 eastbound exit slip road from M2 towards Stonebridge Island and Stonebridge Island will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 18 January 2010 to Wednesday 20 January 2010 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 Junction 2 (Oldbury)
The M5 junction 2 Island and all of the approaches leading to Junction 2 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 18 January 2010 to Saturday 23 January 2010 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 6 (Gravelly Hill Interchange)
The link roads from the M6 northbound and southbound carriageways into Birmingham (AC & BC link roads) will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 18 January 2010 to Thursday 21 January 2010 for bridge joint repairs. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 15 (Stoke On Trent) to Junction 14 (Stafford North)
The southbound carriageway of the M6 between junction 15 and junction 14 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Tuesday 19 January 2010 to Friday 22 January 2010 for the removal of road marking and installation of narrow lanes and traffic sensors as part of the ongoing hard shoulder strengthening. This will also include the southbound entry slip road at junction 15. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 14 (Stafford North) to Junction 15 (Stoke On Trent)
The northbound carriageway of the M6 between junction 14 and junction 15 will be closed overnight, from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Friday 21 January to Monday 25 January, for the removal of road markings and the installation of narrow lanes and traffic sensors as part of ongoing hard shoulder strengthening. This will also include the northbound entry slip road at junction 14. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 2 (Ansty)
The northbound and southbound carriageways of the M6 between the exit and entry slip roads at junction 2 will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Tuesday 19 January 2010 to Thursday 21 January 2010 for the installation of street lighting columns as part of the ongoing junction improvement scheme. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 4a (M6 / M42 Interchange)
The link roads from the M6 southbound carriageway to the M42 northbound and southbound carriageways will be closed overnight from 10.00pm (8.00pm Saturday nights) to 6.00am (8.00am Saturday mornings & 10.00am Sunday mornings) from Monday 18 January 2010 to Friday 29 January 2010 for carriageway resurfacing as part of the Birmingham Box Managed Motorways scheme. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 Mile End to Five Crosses, Oswestry
The A5 will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 18 January 2010 to Thursday 21 January 2010 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
