Jaama begins 2010 with prestigious award
Jaama, leading fleet management software company, has started 2010 in style winning its eighth Institute of Transport Management award having been named ‘Best UK Fleet Software Company 2010’ for the fifth time.
In presenting the Award to Jaama, Patrick Sheedy, the ITM’s media and PR director, praised Jaama for offering ‘the most effective IT packages for fleet operators’.
Key2 Vehicle Management is Jaama’s core fleet management software solution and in the last 12 months new business has been won with a wide range of operators including leading public services provider Amey, The Co-operative Group, Ogilvie Fleet and independent distribution, warehousing and contract packaging company AK Worthington.
Additionally, Jaama has continued to develop an array of online functionality to further improve fleet operating efficiencies. These include: An audit trail of drivers’ eyesight check dates; The ability to submit expenses and benefit information directly to HM Revenue & Customs; An update to ensure employee compliance with the commercial vehicle Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence); An Electronic Driver Services (EDS) module which ensures that data on employees and their vehicle is collected to provide their employer with an audit trail, which is essential for at-work driving duty of care compliance; The launch of a commercial vehicle defect logging reporting tool.
Mr Sheedy said: “Jaama’s Key2 is the most sophisticated such package available in the UK today, providing not only a profound level of functionality in and of itself but a seamless integration with clients’ existing computer systems such as those which handle fuel card, payroll and insurance data.”
He added: “Jaama has consistently proven itself worthy of accreditation. In difficult trading conditions, Jaama has continued to win major contracts. The great news is that this high level of performance is set to continue, as Jaama is committed to investing in research and development to an extent unmatched by its competitors.”
Jaama managing director Jason Francis said: “We are delighted to add another ITM award to our list of achievements.
“Although 2009 was a tough trading year, we won five awards and the economic downturn provided opportunities for Jaama as public and private sector fleets turned to utilising software to improve cost management.
“Our customers are able to justify their employer’s investment in our software systems by the savings they make. The most significant benefits come in terms of the amount of administration time saved, coupled with the ability to deliver huge operating cost savings through the increasingly efficient management of their fleet and ‘grey’ fleet vehicles.
“Cost control continues to be the single biggest issue facing business and fleets. As a result, fleet decision-makers are increasingly utilising our systems and technology to help them manager their cost base and deliver financial savings. Our client list can testify to having recorded significant cost savings thus improving operating efficiency and effectiveness.”
