Lombard gets the Green Thumbs up for solo contract
Lombard Vehicle Management, the UK’s largest asset finance company and specialist vehicle management business, has been contracted by Denbighshire based, national lawn treatment business GreenThumb to fund and manage a fleet of approximately 800 vans on a solo basis with around 230 units being delivered during 2010
The vehicles will run on contract hire, predominantly over three years and 45,000 miles. The new vans, VW Caddy Maxi 1.9 Tdis, will reduce fuel consumption by 15% and CO2 by 25% over the existing fleet.
“We were impressed by the Lombard team’s technical knowledge and also how they could assist us throughout the contract on a relationship basis,” says GreenThumb director David Griffiths.
“The whole-life cost approach demonstrated that we could make substantial savings yet actually improve our fleet operation. The quality of service we have been given by Lombard has been very high. The team has gone the extra mile and given us a lot of confidence for the future.”
The deal was handled by Rachel Moxey, Lombard Key Fleet Manager for Cheshire and North Wales, supported by Lombard’s Van Sales Unit.
