Highways Agency project manager, Steve Bishop said:
“This work is essential and will improve road safety and prolong the life of the carriageway on a busy section of the A1 in North Yorkshire. We have programmed the work to take place overnight in order to minimise any disruption to drivers. We would ask all road users to take extra care through the roadworks and when travelling along the diversion routes. Every effort has been made to ensure disruption and delays are kept to a minimum.”
