Capgemini extend Leasedrive Velo contract for two more years
Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has extended its fleet management agreement with Leasedrive Velo, one of the UK’s largest independent privately-owned vehicle management groups, for another two years. Capgemini has been a Leasedrive Velo client since 2006 and has 800 current and 3,500 eligible company car drivers.
Commercial director, Roddy Graham said: “We are delighted to have had this partnership extended and look forward to developing Capgemini’s company car scheme still further in the future.
“Our regular driver surveys have allowed us to fine tune the existing salary sacrifice scheme. Together we have made this even more attractive by widening vehicle choice. The number of manufacturers has recently been extended from Audi, BMW, Lexus, Mini, Toyota and VW to also include Citroën, Ford, Honda, Mercedes, Renault, Seat, Skoda and Smart.
“We have launched a tiered-scheme based around sub-120g/km, 121 to 150 g/km and 151 to 185 g/km CO2 emission levels. To assist with choice, these tiers have been colour-coded so when drivers go online to evaluate alternative models they can make an informed choice, taking into account the environment and thus contributing to Capgemini’s sustainability project.
“Since the middle of last month we have been attending Capgemini’s Benefits Fairs, presenting the new company car choice list to eligible employees and the feedback so far has been very positive. We are running one-to-one driver clinics and explaining the full benefits of salary sacrifice to encourage more employees into the scheme.”
Ann Brown, UK HR director at Capgemini, said: “The contract extension was an easy decision to make as Leasedrive Velo has been doing such a great job. The company’s attention to detail, speed of response, enthusiasm, excitement and energy has been exemplary. People do make a real difference to an organisation and this is evidenced in the customer service we receive.”
As well as working on Capgemini’s behalf to extend the company car choice, Leasedrive Velo has introduced an innovative salary sacrifice section within the online quotation service. This enables employees to see the total net cost to them, including net salary deduction and benefit-in-kind tax.
Capgemini launched a Risk Audit Survey in December 2009 with an 81 per cent response so far. This was launched to 7,500 ‘at work’ drivers to gain a better understanding of the driving population. In addition to this, all new joiners have online driving licence, MOT and motor insurance checks.
