Kwik-fit awarded for excellence by Leaseplan
Kwik-Fit Fleet, Britain’s largest independent fast-fit company , has received a Supplier Excellence Award from the world’s largest vehicle management and leasing provider.
LeasePlan UK Ltd recently held its Supplier Excellence Awards to recognise those organisations that have helped the company live up to its key values over the last 12 months within the categories of service, value and innovation.
The award marks a sensational start to 2010 for Kwik-Fit Fleet, who received the award in the category of ‘value’, as the LeasePlan honour comes hard on the heels of the company being named the UK’s ‘Best Fast-Fit Company’ for an incredible 17 years in succession in the annual BusinessCar Awards.
Kwik-Fit Fleet and LeasePlan, which has operations in 30 countries and over 20 years of experience, have a long-standing business relationship, which dates back to 2004. This year’s award completes a hat-trick of supplier titles for Kwik-Fit Fleet from LeasePlan during that time, having previously been named Management Partner of the Year in 2007 and Best New Supplier in 2005.
Graham Rixon, operations director at LeasePlan, said: “These Awards recognise those companies, such as Kwik-Fit Fleet, that truly lived the LeasePlan ethos in 2009, and helped the company to a successful year in the midst of wider market turbulence.
All of LeasePlan’s suppliers have been set the challenge of ‘raising the bar’ even further in 2010 as a pledge of continued support for the company after an eventful and challenging 2009.
David Brennan, managing director at LeasePlan, added: “2009 saw some much reported difficulties in the fleet market, but we were able to do more than simply weather the storm; we cemented our place in the market and continued investing in new solutions for our clients. The success we saw was based in large part on the relationships we hold with our suppliers.
“The service our customers experience so often depends on the standard of our suppliers, so it’s particularly important in our industry to make sure we all pull in the same direction and with the same clarity of mission. We have some outstanding suppliers, such as Kwik-Fit Fleet, that understand what we’re trying to achieve as a business.”
Commenting on the latest award Mike Wise, head of Kwik-Fit Fleet, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have received this award which further underlines the reputation that Kwik-Fit has for working in partnership with other companies in the fleet industry to develop and deliver value added bespoke solutions to our mutual customers.
“While Kwik-Fit Fleet has won many industry awards it is very flattering to be recognised by one of the leading fleet vehicle suppliers in the UK for the third time.”
This year’s LeasePlan award means that Kwik-Fit Fleet has won a total of 71 awards from customers and fleet publications since it was launched 23 years ago.
