Sixt extends fuel policy in Spain
Sixt rent a car has extended their fuel policy in Spain. The new option will allow renters to avoid any fuel charges should they return the car with a full tank of fuel.
Car hire companies in Spain generally operate a pre-paid fuel policy charging customers for a full tank of fuel when they arrive to collect their car. However this is not the case with Sixt who now give customers the choice to only opt for the pre-paid fuel should they wish to.
Per Voegerl, Commercial Director of Sixt UK, said “We’ve listened to our customers and recognised that renters want the choice of not having to pay for pre-paid fuel when they collect their car, holidays are a special time and it’s important that hiring a car is a pleasant experience”.
Sixt are leading the way by offering customers the choice of three fuel policies that can be selected at the Sixt branch. The new option to collect the car with a full tank and return with a full tank is an ideal choice for cost conscious holidaymakers. However renters wanting the flexibility to return their car without having to refuel can select either; the pre-paid fuel (collect full and return empty) or the Sixt refuelling option (collect full and return with any level of fuel – Sixt will refuel and charge at a local rate).
Sixt operates rental branches at all major airports in Spain including Malaga, Alicante, Palma Majorca, Madrid and Barcelona.
