Venson wins 3 year extension of contract to international supplier

Venson Automotive Solutions, provider of a diverse portfolio of services from  traditional company vehicle funding and fleet management to accident management, vehicle equip-for-service, workshop and body shop management, has secured a three year extension to an existing agreement with an international supplier of refrigeration and air conditioning systems company, which began in 1996 bringing this business relationship to almost 17 years in duration.

J & E Hall Limited, has extended its exclusive contract hire and fleet management partnership with Venson Automotive Solutions to the end of 2012.

Currently operating an all diesel fleet of 82 cars and 49 light commercial vehicles, J & E Hall’s  Ford dominated fleet, is operated on a 48-month replacement cycle with mileage pooled to keep end of contract charges in check.

The original agreement of contract hire quickly extended to include a range of services offered by Venson, including full maintenance, vehicle rental, accident management and J & E Hall is now considering introducing an occupational road risk management solution and driver training.

The fleet is located nationwide and the company’s HR director Clive Morgan said: “The relationship with Venson enables us to focus on our core business in the full knowledge that the fleet is running at optimum efficiency as a result of Venson’s knowledge and experience.

“Cost competitiveness and first class customer service, particularly to ensure that vehicle downtime is kept to an absolute minimum, are critical priorities for the J & E Hall business.

“Before signing the new contract we undertook a benchmarking exercise against Venson’s major marketplace competition and they performed very well so we saw no reason to change supplier.

“Over the years Venson has got to know our fleet and our drivers very well and the related benefits are far-reaching. Not only are we able to gain from Venson’s marketplace buying-power, but their consultancy approach ensures that we can make fleet policy changes swiftly to reflect legislation and taxation changes thus benefiting both the company and our drivers.”

A further benefit of the partnership is Venson’s one-stop shop approach to vehicle equipping and delivery which means that vehicles are supplied by Ford direct to Venson’s unique Equip-For-Service facility in York where they are fitted to J & E Halls particular specifications and are then supplied to the company ready for immediate use.

Venson sales director Simon Staton said: “Over the years we have forged a very close relationship with J & E Hall so we are delighted to have won the new contract not only on being price competitive but also on our deliverable service levels.”
