Jaama give Fleet Hire the Key2 delivering efficient operation

, the fleet software and occupational road safety specialist, understand the increasing pressures placed on today’s Fleet decision makers to provide an ever increasing range of vehicle and driver management solutions, which is where ’s multi award-winning Key2 internet-based software can help and is exactly why vehicle leasing and fleet management company Fleet Hire is now implementing the system to manage its 6,000-strong fleet of company cars and light commercial vehicles.

Operations director Chris Joyce said: “As the economy emerges from recession fleet customers have become ever-more demanding. Fleet departments are under pressure from boards of directors to justify every pound being spent and, consequently, they are becoming more demanding in terms of the management reports they require from suppliers.

“Fleet decision-makers want an overview of every facet of their fleet in terms of exception-reporting whether that is problems pertaining to vehicles or drivers. They want to know the exact costs associated with running a fleet and the quality of the reports we are able to deliver means that we can help them to justify their decision-making to their boards.”

Jaama’s Key2 system enables Fleet Hire to deliver a management report online that will provide fully outsourced clients a full spectrum of vehicle and driver data gathered from themselves and other third party fleet suppliers.

Mr Joyce explained: “Our end-user customers want a single report highlighting all fleet issues that they need to be concerned about. Jaama’s Key2 technology enables Fleet Hire to deliver exactly what customers want on a bespoke basis and has proved itself to be a really positive attribute for the business. It is the hub of everything we do.

“Key2 provides a great platform for us to build on in terms of the functionality we can use to deliver further improvements to managing our clients’ vehicles which gives Fleet Hire a unique selling point over the competition. As a result, Key2 is enabling Fleet Hire to differentiate itself from many of our competitors by the type of management data we are able to deliver to clients.

“In addition, because we have a wealth of data at our fingertips we can drill down to obtain rich information which is what our customers are demanding of us.”

Currently, Fleet Hire delivers management reports to clients but, starting next year, they will be available for download by clients at the touch of a button.

Fleet Hire uses Key2 to manage each client’s fleet, ranging from initial vehicle ordering to vehicle defleet and everything in between. Starting from 2011 Fleet Hire clients will also be able to download management reports at the touch of a button.

Drivers are also managed using the system for example in relation to driver licence checking and temporary vehicle requirements.

Mr Joyce said: “We are now working with Jaama to deliver a ‘self-help’ solution to clients that enables them to access the management reports themselves. Next year we anticipate that fleet managers will have a dashboard from which they can download any reports they require on any issue at the press of a button.

“We will provide data to our customers in whatever form they require and we want to make it as easy as possible for them to obtain that information. However, while demand for online reporting is rising, our staff will still be at the end of the telephone line to deliver a personal service if that is what some customers require.”

Jaama managing director Jason Francis said: “Organisations such as Fleet Hire constantly have to improve their systems to facilitate higher quality products and service levels; essential if they are to maintain growth and profitability in the vehicle leasing and fleet management sector.

“Meeting this challenge is difficult, particularly for smaller leasing companies that may not have the in-house ability to develop their own systems. It is therefore far more cost-effective for organisations such as Fleet Hire to embrace technology and to constantly review and develop their business processes in partnership with Jaama, which understands the technological requirements along with its benefits and opportunities.

“Jaama has invested millions of pounds in emerging technology to offer companies such as Fleet Hire a world class range of advanced software products that enable them to deliver vehicle and driver management solutions that are at the leading edge of fleet management to customers.”
